McCracken Mile

Kentucky is famous for our delicious bourbons and beautiful thoroughbred horses. Join us on our McCracken Mile tour to experience the best of Woodford County. We will journey along a fence-lined Kentucky back road to Sun Valley Farm to talk about the history of the industry, tour the stables, and see their thoroughbreds. We will take a trip down McCracken Pike to savor Kentucky’s native spirit at three historic locations: Woodford Reserve, Glenns Creek and Castle & Key. We will learn the art and science of bourbon making as we tour the facilities and learn the history of our famous industry. The tours will conclude with samples from each distilleries’ selection of spirits.

Pick up will be at Keeneland: 4201 Versailles Rd, Lexington (Pickup will be at the Lexington Visitors’ Center-215 W. Mains St, Lexington- during live racing).

Secondary Pickups: Versailles-Holiday Inn Express: 365 Commerce Dr. Versailles

                                                  -Bluegrass Traditions- 207 N Main St, Versailles

Tour is approximately 8-9 hours in length. Lunch will be included.

Water and snacks are provided.

Price: $140 per person (Includes transportation, lunch, fees for the horse farm tour, tastings and tours at the distilleries).

We will journey along a fence-lined Kentucky back road to Sun Valley Farm to talk about the history of the industry, tour the stables, and see their thoroughbreds. We will then take a trip down the bourbon trail to savor Kentucky’s native spirit at historic Woodford Reserve. We will learn the art and science of bourbon making as we tour the facilities and learn the history of our famous industry. The tour will conclude with samples from the distillery’s selection of spirits.

Bourbon After Hours

Put the stress of the week behind you by enjoying a Kentucky Friday night on our Bourbon After Hours tour. We will begin at the historic James E. Pepper Distillery for their special Copper & Cocktails Tour which includes a tour, tasting and cocktail. Afterwards, we will enjoy the unique experience of Justins’ House of Bourbon, home of many premium and vintage bourbons. While there we will talk bourbon and bourbon history while enjoying a special Stone Fences Tours premium tasting.

Price: $75: Includes tours, tastings and cocktail ( Water and snacks will be included).

Bourbon Barons: The Samuels’

On this tour, we will explore the eight generations of the Samuels’ family. Our journey will start with Robert Samuel’s Jr. who became George Washington’s master distiller. Our first stop will be the Old Samuels Distillery which was built by T.W. Samuels. The distillery is currently under renovation and our tour will look at the restoration of the famous distillery. We will then make a stop in Bardstown for lunch and a cocktail at The Blind Pig Bourbon Speakeasy. Our final stop will be at the historic Maker’s Mark Distillery were the Samuels’ line continues today.

Pickup will be at the Pepper Distillery District: 1178 Manchester St., Lexington.
