Lex on the Rocks: Discover the City, One Pour at a Time

Step off the Bourbon Trail and into the heart of Lexington for a bourbon adventure with a city vibe. Lex on the Rocks is an 8–9 hour guided tour that blends food, history, and laughter into an unforgettable day.

Unlike traditional countryside tours, Lexington’s distilleries don’t just focus on production — they offer experiences. Depending on availability, you’ll enjoy four of five premium stops:

  • Fresh Bourbon Distillery – an upscale sensory journey under crystal chandeliers where you’ll craft your own customized Old Fashioned.

  • Bespoken Spirits – where innovation meets tradition through secondary finishing, cocktail classes, and groundbreaking whiskey science.

  • Dark Arts Whiskey House – an alchemical tasting that blends sensory exploration, storytelling, and personal reflection.

  • James E. Pepper Distilling Company – a restored National Historic Landmark that showcases one of Kentucky’s most iconic bourbon legacies.

  • RD1 Spirits – thieve bourbon straight from the barrel while learning the art and science of wood finishing while experiencing Lexington’s newest entertainment district.

Along the way, you’ll also see different sides of Lexington — from the historic Distillery District to the energy of downtown — as part of your bourbon journey. Lunch is included, and snacks and water are provided throughout the day (because it’s important to hydrate!).

What makes this tour truly special is the experience of your guides. With a passion for Lexington’s history, a love of Kentucky bourbon, and a flair for storytelling (with plenty of laughs), we bring the city and its spirits to life in a way you won’t find anywhere else.

Raise your glass to Lexington. With Lex on the Rocks, you’ll discover the city, one pour at a time.
